LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Children’s Developmental Center of Lima celebrated its 67th annual Christmas party Thursday evening.

The center serves children ages 18 months to 5 years old with special needs, and the event brings together students and their families.

Kids enjoyed a visit from Santa, presents, a bounce house, face painting and dinner — all provided through Cenovus’ long-standing partnership with the center.

Executive director Elisha Reinke says the night gives families a chance to reconnect after their kids transition into kindergarten and elementary school.

“We love to be able to touch base with our families, especially those that we don’t see as often if they left, but they’ve moved on to kindergarten in the last couple of years. So we appreciate being able to reconnect with them,” Reinke said.

The center provides developmental preschool programming and early support services to help children build a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond.
