ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - They have dedicated their lives to a career they love by building the agriculture industry in Allen County.
Randy Jones, Gary and Laura Luginbill, Joe Schmersal, and the late Todd Schaub are being inducted into the 2024 Allen County Agriculture Hall of Fame. Sponsored by Nutrien and the Lima-Allen County Chamber, the honor recognizes them for the instrumental roles they played in the success of agriculture in the county.
"All of these have been either farmers or agribusiness folks. They have gone above and beyond. So they've made Allen County known at the state level or at the national level, even because of their commitment to agriculture. So they're truly Ag leaders," stated Russ Decker, Ag Committee Chair.
The induction banquet is Thursday, July 25, 2024, with tickets on sale now. 100% of the $15 ticket cost goes to the Allen County Junior Fair program, thanks to the sponsorship of Nutrien.
