The iconic clock tower at the Allen County Courthouse taking on a new look once again.
If you are in downtown Lima you may notice that the work on the clock has begun. The white background has been removed and the existing numbers are being restored. Monday morning you could see through the clock before tarps were put over the large holes to protect the inside from the weather and pigeons. The clock face and the clock mechanism is being done by the same company and should be completed soon.
"He's also the same person that's working on the clock mechanism and that's about 75% complete so sometime November-December we hope to have the clock itself finished and in place," said Dana Sterling, Capital Project Manager.
The clock mechanism restoration is being privately funded by donations managed by the Lima Community Foundation.
