Mother Nature may not have helped in the first couple of days of the fair by canceling a few events but as the week progressed so did attendance. With his first fair just about under his belt promotions and operation manager Troy Elwer says attendance has been above average as the last day of the fair approaches.

"These last couple of days, attendance has actually been significantly up from last year," stated Troy Elwer, promotions & operations manager. "The midway's been packed. Our couple grandstand events that we've had have been pretty packed as well as people coming by looking at our Nutrien Plaza Stage with those free entertainment activities. So, those are all positives that we have to take away and that makes me really excited moving forward into these last couple days of the fair."

Gates open at 8 a.m. on Saturday with a day full of activities including the Buckeye Power Truck Pulls at 7 p.m. The fair concludes at 11 p.m. that night.
