BATH TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WLIO) - The Bath Township Fire Department held a special ceremony Thursday evening to swear in four new firefighters and recognize the promotion of one of its own to platoon chief.
The department welcomed the next generation of firefighters, who have completed training and are now prepared to join the department’s ranks. Newly promoted Platoon Chief Curt Yetman shared his hopes for the department’s future.

"A bunch more applicants, people that are really motivated to do the job and have fun, serve the community, that are just going to show up every day to do their best and leave it all out there," said Curt Yetman, platoon chief.
Firefighter Tyler Dillon also reflected on his dedication to the role.
"I look forward to bringing good work ethic. I feel like I'm always wanted to go out and train. I don't like just sitting around, like going out training and always making myself better for the day. I always like to get 1% better every day, and just using my skills with the best ability and always working on getting better," said Tyler Dillon, firefighter.
After the ceremony, the new firefighters gave their friends and family a tour of the station.
