LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A Lima man indicted on multiple sex-related charges involving a young victim has taken a plea deal.
Sonny Cobb, 46, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape, both first-degree felonies.
Cobb had faced 37 additional counts of rape, 17 counts of sexual battery and one count of gross sexual imposition, but those charges were dropped as part of the plea agreement.
According to the indictment, the alleged offenses occurred between 2011 and 2024, beginning when the child was under 10 years old.
Cobb is scheduled to be sentenced on the rape charges in January.
