With the long holiday weekend approaching, some parents may be looking for something for their children to do.

The Lima Family YMCA has just the fix. Wednesday(11/27/19) and Friday(11/29/19) they will be holding their No School Day program. It offers children from kindergarten to 4th grade a day full of supervised activities. There will games, time in the gym, and of course in the pool. It’s an activity the “Y” sees as part of their mission.

YMCA Vice President Terri Averesch says, “We like to provide programs that help families out. Not just what they can do together but for their kids to stay active during the holidays. It’s really easy to just sit around the TV. We’ve got some great activities with the pool and the gym and craft time. So we try to get them to come to the “Y” and have fun.”

You must send a packed lunch, swimsuit, and towel with your child. The cost for members is $15 and $20 for non-members. It runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a “Parents Night Out Youth Christmas Party” on Friday, December 6th and The “Y” will be offering a winter day camp during the Christmas holiday.
