LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Ohio State students are helping the Spartan Ride ensure young readers have a good book to enjoy this summer.

The Ohio State Lima Education Club donated approximately 50 books to the Spartan Ride, using funds raised during a Scholastic Book Fair held earlier in the school year. The donated books span a variety of reading levels, from picture books to chapter books, and are intended to be taken home and kept by the students, with the goal of encouraging lifelong reading habits.

“I really hope that the students can come to this bus and find a book that interests them, whether that's nonfiction, fiction, chapter books, picture books, something that they can connect with on a personal level and just help them along in the summer,” said Regan Ring, president of the Ohio State Lima Education Club.
