LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - While it is still technically winter, spring fever was surely in the air on Monday!
On Monday afternoon, we went outside and took a trip to Faurot Park, where families enjoyed the unseasonably warm temperatures.
On Monday afternoon, we went outside and took a trip to Faurot Park, where families enjoyed the unseasonably warm temperatures. As the parents relaxed, the kids ran off to the playground, burning off energy while soaking up the brilliant sunshine. We even caught up with a mom and her 4-year-old daughter to hear why they’re so excited about the transition from winter to spring.
“It’s my favorite time of the year. I love being outside and taking advantage of what Lima has to offer us with playgrounds. We try to hit all the different ones,” says Emily Carlson, a mom who brought her kids to Faurot Park to play.
“Um, I love coming out at the park today!” says Raegan Carlson, a 4-year-old girl enjoying the park. “Yeah, why do you love coming out to the park?” we asked Raegan. “Because I do,” Raegan replies.
With above-average temperatures all week, there will be more opportunities for families to get outside!
