COLUMBUS, OH (WLIO) - A tragic update out of Columbus concerning an Amber Alert and a missing five-year-boy, Darnell Taylor.
Police announced this morning that the body of Darnell was located in a sewage drain in Franklin County. Officials sent out an Amber Alert early Wednesday morning after receiving a 9-1-1 call from a man who said his wife had killed their foster child. Pammy Maye, Darnell's legal guardian, fled the scene with Darnell as officers approached. Her vehicle was recovered in Cleveland Wednesday but with no sign of either of them.
Maye was taken into custody Thursday after a citizen reported a suspicious woman walking around his business. During an interrogation, Maye told officials the location of Darnell's body. Prosecutors are expected to charge Maye with murder.
