For over 70 years the Bradfield Center has been a cornerstone in the Lima community but not many know how it all started.
The Bradfield Community Center, grew from the realization in the 1930's that there were few organized recreational and social opportunities for minorities in the Lima area. The Bradfield community association's message, spawns from the lifestyle of it's namesake, Dr. J.C. Bradfield. A man who gave his life in unselfish and untiring service to this community.
The first center was located at 321 S. West St and in the mid 90's a major renovation project at it's current location at the corner of North Shore and Collet gives the center we know now. Now with a new director at the helm the Bradfield Center will once again be seeing growth and changes.
