HAMLER, Ohio (WLIO) — In Division VI playoff action, Carey hit the road to take on Patrick Henry and came away with a hard-fought 16-7 win.
The Patriots had some early momentum, as Tristen Rosebrook connected with Reid Creager for a big catch to move the chains — but Patrick Henry’s drive stalled before they could reach the end zone.
With under a minute to go in the half and the score still tied at zero, Carey’s Dash Puckett showed great awareness, breaking through the pile and finishing the play for the touchdown.
The Blue Devils’ defense kept the Patriots in check the rest of the way, as Carey pulled out the 16-7 victory in Hamler to advance in the Division VI playoffs.
