A charity car show was held Saturday to help out a local organization.
The car show, which was held at Tom Ahl Family of Dealerships, brought in cars and motorcycles to raise money for Heartbeat of Lima. There were awards given out as well as different activities for kids beyond the vehicles on display. Those with Heartbeat of Lima say that their sponsors and people participating with the car show have been a big help.
"It's really amazing; Tom Ahl has been awesome, he's been on our board and helps us so much, and all his people then have helped us as well," said Marilyn Kindig, D.O., the medical director for Heartbeat of Lima. "The people with cars are just amazing and have come out and really supported us today with our 50-50 and our drawings and all the other things we have for today."
Heartbeat of Lima says that all of the money they use to keep running comes from donations, rather than state grants.
