Charles Maxey Jr. charged with murder

A Lima man finds himself in front of a judge facing a murder charge.

21 year old Charles Maxey, Jr. is the prime suspect in the shooting death of 22 year old Tajh Gibson early last Saturday morning, at Stormy's Bar on North Elizabeth Street. There was an increased police presence in the court room as Maxey had his initial appearance in Lima Municipal Court.

Judge Rick Workman set Maxey's bond at 2 million dollars cash, one of the highest bonds in court history. The state requested a high bond due to the fact Maxey does have family out of state and did not want to risk the chance he could flee from the area.

Maxey is charged with murder and has a preliminary hearing set for March sixth.
