Friday August 9, 2024
0705 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Willshire Eastern Road in Willshire Township for a motor vehicle crash. Unit One was traveling east bound on Willshire Eastern Road near Clayton Road. Unit One crossed the opposite lane of travel and drove off the left side of the roadway and hit a utility pole. Unit One then corrected back onto the roadway and came to rest. Unit One's airbags deployed and suffered disabling damage. Neither of the occupants were injured. Unit One was a 2012 Ford F250 driven by Chase Matthew Stanler of Berne Indiana.
1038 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Main Street in the Village of Venedocia for a complaint of trespassing.
1307 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Bellis Road in the Village of Middle Point for a complaint of a stray dog.
1313 hrs. – Dispatched Spencerville EMS to a residence on Masters Road in Jennings Township for a subject having a seizure.
1334 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a resident from Doner Road in Jackson Township for a complaint of harassment.
1452 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Koch Street in the Village of Ohio City for a complaint of domestic violence.
1554 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Mason Street in the Village of Middle Point for a complaint of aggravated menacing.
1614 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Werner Road in Tully Township for a report of farm equipment pulling down a power line.
1714 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Washington Township for a report of reckless driving.
1717 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 127 in Liberty Township for a report of a vehicle losing debris off a trailer.
1837 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Pollock Road in Tully Township for a complaint of vehicle damage.
2027 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Hartsock Road in Willshire Township for a complaint of dumped trash.
2103 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Sands Road in York Township for a motor vehicle crash involving a deer, no injuries were reported.
2206 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Tyler Street in the City of Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police.
2339 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Prairie Lane in the City of Van wert for a subject having a diabetic emergency.

1203 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Ringwald Road in Ridge Township to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
1213 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Thistlewood Court in the City of Van Wert for a subject with leg pain.
1352 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of State Route 118 in Liberty Township for a complaint of reckless driving.
1417 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Lincoln Highway in Washington Township for a property dispute.
1646 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Main Street in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
1757 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on Church Road in Hoaglin Township for a subject who had fallen.
2015 hrs. – Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on Mentzer Road in Tully Township for a subject who had fallen.
