The final phase of the downtown Lima roundabout project begins on Monday. Resurfacing on Market Street, from Central Avenue to Elizabeth Street, will be starting July 11th. The work is expected to take four days. This is the final part of turning the intersection into a single-lane roundabout. Besides the new asphalt going down, signage for the roundabout will be put up. Traffic will be maintained while crews take up the old asphalt, but that section of Market Street will be closed, when the new asphalt and pavement markers will be put down. Parking in that area will also be restricted during the work.
