LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Fresh N Faded hosted their 4th annual Easter egg hunt for the kids of Lima on Sunday.
Several thousand eggs were scattered around the block of the barber shop for kids in two different age groups to collect, including golden eggs with cash inside. After the hunt, kids could play games for chances to win prizes like shoes, scooters, or gift cards. Organizers also handed out prizes for best-dressed. The event is just one of many that Fresh N Faded and Team Outreach Lima host for holidays throughout the year.
"We do this year after year, you know, to see the smile on the kids faces, the whole community coming together, all the sponsors, shout out to the community of Lima. We just do this to put smiles on the kids faces," said Quincy Peoples, the director of Team Outreach Lima. "We remember when we were kids, and it's just a blessing to be able to give back, so that's why we do it."
There were also several vendors at the event, with sales from one booth going to support incarcerated women.
