The work has begun but it will be a few long days ahead helping others during Ignite Lima 2022.

Volunteers have already started on 17 or the 62 projects that are lined up for this year's “Community Relief”, a ministry of Union Chapel. This is the third year for the project and each year it gets bigger as the ministry finds more people in need of repairs to their homes. Anything from landscaping to roofing to painting will be done now through Saturday.

Matt Naylor Director of Community Relief Ministry says, “The whole goal of this weekend is to love the homeowner. The by the way is, oh we’re going fix your house too. But our goal Is to actually come and come beside the homeowner and say hey we love you, we care about you, what can we do for you?”

It has been expanded to 5 days this year and the saying is “many hands make light work” and more volunteers are needed to complete the projects. This is a great opportunity for families and groups to volunteer together. You can show up at New Hope Christian Center on Baty Road and they will match you up to a project.
