LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Local ladies came out to the Women United's Luncheon to be inspired and support causes that benefit women and children.
Ticket sales go to programs such as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which has received over six thousand dollars from the organization to date. Justin F. Courtney, motivational speaker and Director of Student Services at OSU Lima campus, spoke to attendees on the importance of emotional intelligence, and the impact it has on your own life and the lives of others.
"When I look at emotional intelligence and the barriers that people face in their lifetime, we don't know what they're gonna be, but we know that if we work together and love on each other, we're gonna make a huge impact," Courtney says.
"What an honor to be able to talk with women, to be able to build up their experience and to encourage them in their role, because y'all make a ton of impact."
