Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber paid a visit to Bluffton University Tuesday morning to talk about the ins and outs of his office.
The talk is part of Bluffton's forum series. Faber spoke on the importance of checks and balances within government to avoid fraud and corruption, which he says is a big part of what his office works for.
"What gets lost on most people is that there’s another role, and our role is a State Auditor office under the Ohio Constitution and state statutes, is that we're their check-in, their watchdog on government itself, to make sure the government operates transparently, and to make sure all of the x's line up, all the o's balance and everything works the way it's supposed to," said Faber.
This presentation was the keynote for the Bluffton University Business Competition that was also held on Tuesday.
