PUTNAM COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A Putnam County grand jury has indicted a Lima man on additional charges for a shooting at a Leipsic business that left one person dead and another injured.
26-year-old Konner Dunklee pleaded not guilty to five charges: aggravated murder, murder, attempt to commit an offense, felonious assault, and assault. The judge has scheduled his jury trial for July 2024 and also ordered that Dunklee be held without bond.
On the day of the shooting, Dunklee brought a 9 mm handgun to the business and shot Croninger. During a struggle with Kitchen, he also shot him.
On April 18th, deputies were called to Kitchen Enterprises Trucking Company in Leipsic just after 4 p.m. There, they found that 30-year-old Farrah Croninger of Deshler had been killed and 54-year-old Michael Kitchen of Ottawa had been injured from gunshot wounds. Kitchen was treated at Mercy Health and has been released from the hospital. Dunklee fled the scene and was arrested the same day of the shooting in rural Allen County. His next pretrial is set for May 2024.
