A Lima man has been sentenced after changing his plea in Allen County Common Pleas Court Thursday.
Marcos Gonzalez-Barcenas entered a change of plea Thursday that had him plead guilty to one charge of rape, in exchange for the dismissal of the other rape charge and the two charges of sexual battery.
Sentencing quickly followed after the change of plea, with the 54-year-old receiving a sentence of 7 to 10 and a half years in prison.
Gonzalez-Barcenas faced the charge for allegedly having sexual contact with a 14-year-old in 2020. According to records, the offenses occurred multiple times over roughly a year time period.
