LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A Lima man who allegedly stabbed and killed his mother in 2020 has now been ruled competent to stand trial.

Joseph Cheney

A mental evaluation report on Joseph Cheney was presented to Allen County Common Pleas Court where it confirmed the competency restoration. Cheney was previously ruled incompetent back in 2020 after he originally entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.
