LIMA, OH (WLIO) - With the mercury climbing this past week it's hard to think winter is only a few months away.
The Lima Salvation Army has released the dates of their winter assistance registrations. The annual coat distribution and Christmas assistance application process will be October 4, 5, and 6 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and then at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., October 6th until 6 p.m. Officials say it's not too early to get prepared.
"They need to make sure that they have all of their income and expenses, as well as photo ID for the person coming to fill out," explained Captain Charity Bender. "And then anyone that lives in the household would be either birth certificate or social security card."
