The Lima Symphony Orchestra announced a new initiative made possible by a grant.
LSO plans to launch a new program titled "Healing Through Music" made possible with the award of a Futures Fund Grant from the League of American Orchestras. They will receive $30,000 to put towards the new program for two years. The "Healing Through Music" program will bring four ensembles to different locations to help with recovery efforts of those affected by mental health diseases and the opioid epidemic.
The program is expected to begin this fall.
