LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Are you looking for some fun activities for your kids? The Lima Family YMCA is getting ready to kick off several programs your kids may be excited about.
Kids 7 to 14-years-old can take a cooking class to learn the fundamentals of cooking in what they are calling "Snack Attack" which will be held weekly from February through April. Kids 9 to 14-years-old can sign up for a single night of activities as part of their "Youth Lock-in" that will run from a Friday at 8 p.m. until 9 a.m. Saturday morning. YMCA administrators say they are excited to bring back the "Youth Lock-in".
"Just to have a really fun option for the kids to stay overnight, to be able to stay there long term. It's a safe thing for them to do over the weekend and we have a lot of fun activities. So they get to stay up all night," said Carla PmcPheron, aquatics director at the Lima Family YMCA.
They have also opened up their sign-up for summer camp for kids 6 to 12 years old. You can find out about all the youth activities at the Lima Family YMCA on their website at https://limaymca.net/.
