LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - A local ministry in Lima held a prayer walk for victims of domestic violence and bullying.
The organization is called Com_UNITY ministries, and they hosted their first prayer walk. Walking over a mile in downtown Lima, participants gathered at St. Rose Catholic Church to kick off the event. 6 total churches were involved, covering all types of denominations, but being united in Christ. The prayers today were focused on bullying victims as well as those who have suffered domestic violence. This event was part of good deeds day, with over 115 countries participating.
"Com_UNITY ministries, what started not quite 7 years ago, to do is to pray, praise, and uplift those bullied, and victims of violence," says Mary Blanche Hengstler, Founding Director of Com_UNITY Ministries.
After walking a mile and praying every step of the way, participants left with new friends and connections between churches.
