LIMA, OHIO (WLIO) - The Lima Police Department is investigating an early Sunday morning shooting that sent one person to the hospital.

Clay was found in a car in the 700 block of Weadock Avenue just at 12:38 am Sunday.
Lima detectives say that 38-year-old Jeremy Clay has been hospitalized at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s for a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is in stable condition. Clay was found in a car in the 700 block of Weadock Avenue just at 12:38 am Sunday. During their investigation, detectives found that the shooting happened in the driveway of one of the residents on that block. After speaking to witnesses, they believe that Clay was arguing with other people at a nearby bar before he was shot. He is not cooperating with the investigation, and no suspects are known currently. On November 17, 2024 at approximately 12:38 am the Lima Police Department received several calls of a fight and shots fired in the 700 block of Weadock. Officers responding to the scene located Jeremy Clay (38 years old), inside a vehicle. Mr. Clay was suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Mr. Clay was transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Clay is in stable condition.
Officers found this shooting occurred in the drive way of 739 Weadock. Detectives responded to the scene and began interviewing witnesses. It was learned Mr. Clay was involved in a dispute which may have started at a nearby bar. No suspects are known at this time and Mr. Clay was not cooperative.
