Neighbors helping neighbors, it’s just that simple.
A program created by Lima 6th ward councilman Derry Glenn pairs a person that has a need with a person, group, or business that can help with that need. On Friday, Carl Patty received a donation of $580 from Kevin and Cheryl Christlieb to replace the gutters on his house. When it rains outside it rains inside because of the leaking gutters. Petty couldn’t thank them enough.
Carl Petty said, “I really appreciate it. Very much because I was having water problems in there. They came out right on time. What I say is right in time.”
Kevin Christlieb of Cheryl’s Bar on Grand Avenue commented, “We wanted to help out any way we could. We believe that neighbors helping neighbors is a win-win situation for everybody involved. So, we were happy to help Carl get his gutters fixed up.”
