The position was created to continue the City of Lima’s progress in the “Smart City” program.
Today(10/23/19), Nathan Bayliff was introduced as the city's Chief Technology Officer. Bayliff has worked for the City of Lima in several positions dealing with internet technology. He will now be leading the city's plans in bringing all technology together, running more efficient and safe.
Bayliff says, “I will oversee the folks that will eventually be responsible for those other pieces. Like the security pieces, the virtualization pieces, and the servers themselves that house the applications that allow us to function.”
Bayliff has been with the city since 2006.
