COLUMBUS, Ohio (WLIO) — Several local communities will see park improvement reimbursement thanks to grant funding awarded by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

ODNR has awarded approximately $3 million statewide through its NatureWorks Grant Program to help local governments fund capital improvement projects in public parks. The grants provide up to 75% reimbursement assistance for eligible projects.

In Delphos, funding will be used to replace picnic tables at Waterworks Park and update bleachers at Stadium Park. Fort Jennings will replace a shelter house at its community park. New Knoxville plans to upgrade its splash pad and parking lot, while McComb will install fencing along its multi-purpose courts.
