LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Bradfield Community Center is offering local children a chance to enjoy some holiday fun during its fourth annual Christmas Drop-In on Sunday, Dec. 21.

The free event is designed to bring kids together for an afternoon of activities while giving parents and guardians time to take care of last-minute holiday errands. Children who attend will enjoy food, holiday-themed activities and receive gifts to take home.

Bradfield Community Center officials say the event is part of the organization’s continued mission to give back to the Lima community during the holiday season.

“This opportunity for parents to drop the kids off. We'll have plenty of volunteers for be a secure atmosphere. And it's a free event. The kids come in, we have arts and crafts, we have games, we have a Santa shop. We do some different things in the gym also. But we just want to give parents a chance to go out if they need to get away. But, and just to give back to the boys and girls, you know, give back to the kids. They come in, they have a great time,” said Chris Jackson, executive director of the Bradfield Community Center.

Space for the Christmas Drop-In is limited, and parents or guardians must register their children in advance. Registration can be completed by calling the Bradfield Community Center at 419-228-7766 or by emailing info@bradfieldlima.org.

Bradfield Community Center is also seeking sponsors and volunteers to support the event. The Christmas Drop-In will run from 2 to 6 p.m.
