OHIO (WLIO) - 123 Ohio remediation projects, which include some in our local area, will soon see funding head their way.
The money comes from the Ohio Brownfield Remediation program which is designed to clean up and prepare hazardous Brownfield sites for redevelopment. The Village of Spencerville will be receiving a little over $3.9 million for the cleanup of the old Ohio Decorative Products facility. The Van Wert Land Reutilization Corporation will receive $224,400 for the vacant Anthony Wayne School building.
A number of Auglaize County projects will also receive funding. Such as the City of St. Marys receiving money to clean up and remediate the old car dealership and auto service facility located at 1049 East Spring Street and the Auglaize County commissioners receiving $173,950 for asbestos and mold remediation in the former Buckland School.
