ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Allen County 2025 draft budget is done and presented to elected officials.
The budget includes a 3.5% increase in salary lines for general fund non-union employees and a slight increase in daily operations due to inflationary costs.

It comes in just north of 37.6 million dollars, a 1.3 million dollar increase over the 2024 budget. When passed, the commissioners will keep a close eye on the budget throughout the year.
"Our finance director keeps an eye on these lines almost weekly. As a board of commissioners, we sit down and look at every month-end to see how we're doing on a percentage basis in the spending of this budget," stated Beth Seibert, Allen County Commissioner.
By law, the budget cannot be passed until 2025, and commissioners will pass it in January.
