A Hardin County woman who shot her mother five years ago, will soon go free.
A judge ruled 20 year old Meredith Poling will be released this Friday, her 21st birthday. Poling admitted to shooting her mother, Michelle Murnahan, in the back of the head, back in August of 2006. Prosecutors wanted to try Poling as an adult, but a lower court ruled against it, and the Ohio Supreme Court wouldn't hear the case.
In 2010, Poling entered a negotiated plea deal and was sentenced to remain in state juvenile custody until the age of 21.
