CELINA, OH (WLIO) -Â There were a lot of eyes and excitement over at the Mercer County Fairgrounds Sunday afternoon in Celina, as plenty of spectators and local residents were on hand to capture the brand new and "giant" attraction coming to the venue.

Former Celina resident Sue MacDonald added, "I think this is really exciting. I know there are similar ones in Dayton, but we had no idea when we pulled in today that this was even going on up here. It's a really cool thing. Celina has turned into a really cool town, and this is one of those things that makes it cool."
"I think it's definitely going to be a draw for tourists when they are in town to come and see it. Celina is just doing so many cool things right now just to spark enthusiasm for our community. It's a great place to live. I've been here a long time, and I'm proud to say that I'm from Celina," said Carol Hone, a Celina resident.

The Bear Hollow Wood Carvers have been hard at work the past four days building the Sasquatch completely from scratch, and just like the community, they too are excited to see not only the finished product of their hard work but also see the joy it brings to the community.
"You have to think about it like your physical being, or skeleton. You have to build to the skeleton; you have to build your muscle structure and your texture, which would be, in this case, fur. We're doing this for the Mercer County fairgrounds for the eclipse, and it's something that people can enjoy and get photo opportunities with their families because it's going to be here for a long time. Create some type of legacy," noted Bubba Daniel, Bear Hollow Wood Carvers.

Co-Owner of Bear Hollow Wood Carvers, Cindy Emmons, added, "When we finish, not only is it a pretty good feeling for the joy the that you are going to bring to other people when they get to see what you have done, it's a huge accomplishment to design and build something for four and a half to five days, and that team effort that goes into it for sure makes your heart full at the end."
The workers at Bear Hollow Wood Carvers look to have the newest and latest spectacle done and unveiled to the Celina community Sunday in honor and celebration of Monday's eclipse.
