From Feb. 19 through the 21, state troopers in six states will be looking for violators along interstate 75.
It's part of a six-state trooper project focusing on speeding, safety belts and driving under the influence. The high visibility effort started Friday and runs through Sunday.
In Ohio alone, more than 14,000 OVI related crashes were reported in 2015. The multi-state effort helps educate motorists about safe driving and the importance of wearing safety belts.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be joined by Kentucky and Michigan.
