The 50th Annual Christmas Tree Festival is officially underway at the Allen County Museum

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It's officially underway and the 50th edition of the Allen County Museum's Christmas Tree Festival has something for everyone.

Not only are there 112 trees and wreaths on display, but there are shopping opportunities too. You can buy live winter green arrangements at Gifts from the Earth, gift items can be purchased at the Holiday Boutique, and starting Friday there will be the Little Children's Shoppe and baked goods for sale. All being fundraisers.

"We have three host groups and it is divided between the three. We have the Allen County Master Gardeners volunteers, the Johnny Appleseed Park District, and then the Allen County Historical Society," explained Donna Collins, administrative assistant at the Allen County Museum.

There are craft activities for the kids at the Children's Discovery Center. You can also enjoy museum exhibits like the one-room schoolhouse and the Allen County Historical Society's railroad exhibit on the upper level. 

Festival Hours are:

Wed., Nov. 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Thurs., Dec. 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Fri., Dec. 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sat., Dec. 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sun., Dec. 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
