A special evening in our area Thursday night, celebrating two top locals in the agriculture world.
The Lima Allen County Chamber of Commerce, inducting Robert Core and Barrett Feigh, Sr. into the Agricultural Hall of Fame during an evening banquet. The Chamber's Agri-Business Committee Chair said the Hall of Fame is to recognize those who have been instrumental to the success and excellence of agriculture in Allen County, either as a farmer or in a related field, and that both inductees have made outstanding contributions to their professions, and their community involvement has served as a stimulus to others.
"I own a farm and farm it," said Ag. Hall of Fame Inductee Robert Core. "I turned it over to my son after 30 years. I also taught Vocational Agriculture, I was an FFA Adviser, Young Farmer Adviser."
"It's been an interesting experience," Ag. Hall of Fame Inductee Barrett Feigh, Sr. told us. "I've tried to keep with up agricultural experimenting and new ways of farming."
The Allen County Agricultural Hall of Fame is in its 6th year.
