43-year-old Susan Walendzik was sentenced as part of a deal, where she pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking a person and one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, and the rest of the charges she was indicted on including promoting prostitution and other counts of trafficking a person were dropped. Walendzik will also have to register as a Tier II sex offender.

She and her co-defendant Grant Rose used a website to set up meetings between a young girl and johns. The indictments say meetings happened between July of 2018 until their arrests in 2020. The girl was around 13 years old when the trafficking began according to the indictment. Lima Detectives say that Walendzik arranged the meeting to get money or drugs in exchange for the sex acts with the young girl, because of a drug habit.

“I would like to say that I am sorry, to the court and the State of Ohio, mostly to the victim,” says Walendzik. “I am sorry for what is going on, normally this would never of happened. But I blame myself.”

Rose was sentenced to 42.5 years in prison after a jury found him guilty of promoting prostitution, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, and 13 counts of trafficking a person.
