LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The West Ohio Food Bank is helping put a meal on the table this holiday weekend.
They are handing out a pre-cooked ready-to-heat and eat ham dinner. It will be this Saturday on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. or while supplies last. The process will be much like their regular distribution day. Enter on the west side and exit on the east side. The "to-go" dinners will be handed to you.
"It's for anyone. Really anybody that doesn't have anywhere to go or do on Christmas Eve. A lot of our programs are aimed at those less fortunate. But this is for anyone who wants a ham dinner to come out on Christmas Eve morning and get one free of charge from us," said Jason Aldrich, communications and PR manager at West Ohio Food Bank.
They will have about 1,700 meals to hand out. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to help with the distribution.
