WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) — The MAC met the NWC as the St. Henry Redskins squared off with the Lincolnview Lancers in regional action.
Lincolnview struck early in the first quarter. Quinlyn Walker found Annabel Horstman in the corner, and she knocked down the triple to get the Lancers on the board.
But St. Henry quickly built separation.
Alexis Buschur drove the baseline and dished to Olivia Gast, who connected from deep to match Lincolnview’s three. The Redskins led 12-3 late in the opening quarter.
In the second, Morgan Baumer delivered a sharp pass down low to Addy Homan for an easy layup as St. Henry continued to control the tempo.
The Redskins’ defense created more offense moments later. Molly Wendel came up with a steal and pushed it ahead to Homan, who finished in transition.
Karlee Baumer added a highlight with a block, though Lincolnview stayed persistent as Brooklyn Byrne knocked down a mid-range jumper.
Still, St. Henry proved too much. Homan gave it up, got it back beyond the arc, and buried the long ball to help seal the win.
St. Henry defeated Lincolnview 38-24 and will face the Minster Wildcats in Springfield for an all-MAC regional semifinal Wednesday, March 4.
