Activate Allen County started as a YMCA initiative in 2011 with a pioneering Healthy Communities grant and a $1.2-million Communities Transformation Grant from the CDC which provided seed money for the organization. It's now funded through the Chamber Foundation with 10 agencies funding their work. Their most recent projects are the Allen County Health Improvement Plan and Health Atlas.

"It's a one-stop shop for all health-related data in our community. So, if you want to find out what's going on in your neighborhood, in your census tract, in your village, in your city, you can dive into the health-related information that matters to you. Be it as a citizen, as a non-profit organization, a government entity, or even a for-profit business. There's a lot of valuable data on what health-related issues are facing our community," explained Josh Unterbrink, Activate Allen County.
