An appreciation event is being held for the 6th Ward City Councilman to thank him for his work in the community.
The event will highlight Dr. Derry Glenn and the various projects he does to help out Lima's residents. The event will be held at Hover Park, located at 800 S Collett St, Lima, OH 45804, on July 9th, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Event organizers state that they are constantly amazed at how much Glenn accomplishes in the community.
"The fact that one, he can rally so many people together," said Bruce Gardner, an organizer for the appreciation event. "What he does for the community, just like I said, it's been over 30 years. It's amazing that that one person can be such a force. He loves Lima. He loves the community so much. He is an advocate for his ward, and also an advocate for all of residents in Lima. He's just been a powerful force within the community."
The entire community is invited to attend the event.
