Area churches are starting to plan for their first Vacation Bible School since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic and hoping the kids come out.

Southside Christian Church and First Baptist Church have partnered to present their “Food Truck” vacation bible school. The 5-day event will include Bible stories, music, science projects, crafts, and recreation activities. The children will get a meal each night to go with the food truck theme. Organizers are looking forward to seeing the kids.

Bobbie Higgins Bible Story Teacher says, “Well I’ll tell you, if I could stand up and jump up and down and go around in circles, that would be about how I feel. It’s great, because you miss out on getting to the community and talking.”
The “Food Truck” vacation bible school is Sunday, June 19th through Thursday, June 23rd from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at Southside Church. It is open to all children from age three through 4tth graders. You can find out more at southsidechurch.mycokesburyvbs.com – you can also register your child online.
