BLUFFTON, OH (WLIO) - A Bluffton non-profit hosted a fashion show to celebrate their 50th year in the community.
Et Cetera Inc., which is made up of the three Main St. stores Et Cetera Shop, Ten Thousand Villages, and Book ReViews, put together a comedy fashion show featuring the styles that dominated all five decades they've been around. Models ranged from ages 10 to 93, and the emcees entertained the crowd with lessons on old slang, pop culture, and history. The event is part of a series this year to thank the Bluffton community for all of their support and patronage.
"I think it's part of being part of a village that's welcoming to people and encouraging people to come and explore its streets and its community. These three shops, The Et Cetera Shop, Ten Thousand Villages, and Book ReViews are just an important part of that whole idea of exploring the village of Bluffton," said Joyce Schumacher, a member of Et Cetera Inc.'s 50th-anniversary steering committee.
The next 50th-anniversary event will be a garden walk held on June 29th and 30th.
