The City of Lima releasing its latest edition of the “Safety First” coloring book.
The coloring book was the brainchild of Head Park Ranger Randy Kohli several years ago to educate children. The book gives them safety tips and encouraging messages from city officials and school resource officers who are featured in the book.
Head Park Ranger Randy Kohli adds, “They’ve got a lot of safety-first type ideas out there. From keeping your community clean, from puzzles to getting from one point to the other point and it puts out a good message that our community is proud. And the utilities department is invested in the city of Lima as they helped fund this program. The Lima Senior Graphic Arts students helped design it all up and make it all happen. So, it’s community coming together to make this a great thing.”
Neighborhood Specialist Sydni Winkler provided the illustrations. You can get a copy at the park’s office at the city garage at 900 S Collett St, Lima, OH 45804, and the city building at 50 Town Square, Lima, OH 45801.
