As we enter the Memorial Day weekend, summer will unofficially begin and Downtown Lima Inc. is planning to celebrate.
There will be a Summer Kick-Off on June 10th from 4 pm to 8 pm in the Hofeller, Hiatt and Clark parking lot. The event will include food trucks, music, vendors, and a kid’s zone. It’s a chance for people to come downtown and enjoy what they have to offer.
Downtown Lima Inc. executive Director Betsy Billingsley adds, “We’ve got vendors, local non-profits all doing some marketing and give-outs and activities. It is kid and family-friendly. Our local businesses will be staying open a little bit later. They’ll be having specials. Look for the glittery pineapple at each of those and take advantage of what they have to offer.”
The Summer Kick-off is new and has replaced the “First Fridays” due to construction in the square.
