DSJ performs a Day of Service

Students at Delphos St. John's had the chance to give back to their community Friday morning with a day of service.

Staff and students from 7th to 12th grades kicked off the day with mass and then spent the morning mulching, washing windows, picking up trash, and more. All of the service was done throughout Delphos, from the school grounds to the city parks. Having students work together on these projects will hopefully help them to create new friendships.

"It’s just so great to see them work together, we take kids, the freshman or sophomores, mixed them all up, boys and girls, so they’re not just hanging out with their friends - we hope that they build some relationships here today for an opportunity to talk to kids that maybe that they don’t talk to on a normal basis," said Kim Honigford, Campus Ministry for Delphos St. John's.

165 students participated in the day of service.
