A former Mercer County teacher now faces time in prison after being found guilty of having sex with a minor.
Heather Henry took a plea deal earlier this year to plead no contest to three counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor and one count of Failure to Comply with Underage Alcohol Laws. According to the indictment, the charges were from three separate incidents over Christmas break of 2018.
The court ruled that Henry will have to serve 18 months for each of the unlawful sexual contact felonies, which will be served consecutively at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Henry will also serve 180 days in the Mercer County Jail for the alcohol misdemeanor. That will be served concurrently with her prison time.
She will also have to register as a tier II sex offender for the next 25 years.
